4 Bag Storage Providers To Use On Match Day At Twickenham.

If you’re planning on a trip to watch the rugby at Twickenham soon, and you don’t have the luxury of either living round the corner, or staying in accommodation nearby; then you’ll likely have a few bags on your person.

Now you won’t want to lug these around with you all day. Especially if you’re planning on visiting a few sites before the match. Oh, and if you’re wondering where to go, or what to do in and around Twickenham before kick off; then take a look at this post I wrote on where you should go before the rugby at Twickenham.

Also, if you’re heading out for a meal afterwards, you may want a change of clothes to get into after the game, that are more appropriate for a restaurant, as opposed to a rugby stadium. On that note, you might want to have a read of this piece I wrote, in case you’re wondering what to wear if you’re going to Twickenham Stadium.

Now let’s get to it and check out these bag storage providers, who offer places to store your luggage in numerous locations across London.

Stasher.com, Luggagehero.com, Radicalstorage.com, or Usebounce.com. These are the 4 bag storage providers that you could use to store your prams, pushchairs and excess luggage, in a safe location on match day at Twickenham.

Next up I’m going to expand on each of these providers and give you a summary of their offering.

Once you’ve read this article, you’ll have enough of an overview to make an informed decision as to which bag storage provider and facility to use on match day at Twickenham.

1. Stasher.com

Stasher innovated the concept of a luggage storage network and became the 1st provider of such a facility in 2015. Stasher offers storage facilities on every continent and is present in over 400 cities across the world.

Pricing

If you want to book a storage location for your bags through Stasher, it’ll cost you £4.95 per bag for 12 hours. Bear in mind the charge is per bag and there’s also an admin fee of £1.65. And the £1.65 booking fee is also per bag. So if you have 3 bags you’re going to store, then the booking fee will be £4.95.

Each bag is covered for up to £1000 providing peace of mind against theft or damage.

Locations near or en route to Twickenham

Of all the luggage storage providers, Stasher offers the closest bag store location to the Stadium. This is at Foodland Express in Twickenham. It is just a 2-minute walk from Twickenham Station and is around a 10-minute walk from the stadium.

Better still, if you’re walking to the stadium from Twickenham station you won’t even have to make a detour to pass by Foodland Express, making it possibly the most convenient place to store your bags on match day.

It’s important to take note though that the latest time you can book to pick up your bags from Foodland Express through Stasher is 7pm. Which in my mind makes it a non starter if you’re going to a late afternoon or evening match at Twickenham.

At LuggageHero you have the benefit of flexible booking in that you can book either by the day (24 hours) or by the hour. The price is per bag and starts at either £8.95 per bag for 24 hours or £1.29 per bag by the hour. Take note, prices by the day and the hour do vary depending on the location / storage facility that you choose.

Only choose the hourly rate if you only want to store your bags for up to 6 hours. Any longer and it’s better value to select the day rate of £8.95.

With LuggageHero you can opt in or out of insurance for your bags. The insurance fee is £2.49 per bag and provides up to £2200 cover for each bag.

4. Usebounce.com

Bounce was founded in 2018 by Cody Candee & Aleksander Rendtslev, with a vision to provide a service that would change how people move around in cities, as a result of being able to easily store the things they own, so that these items wouldn’t hold them back by restricting their movements.

From our experiences, we know how much your things can hold you back and that has inspired Bounce.

Once again, Bounce doesn’t offer any storage providers within a short walk of Twickenham, but it does have a presence at pretty much every major train station in London.

Meaning that if you’re travelling in by train, you can prebook storage within a short walk of your inbound train station; before changing trains and heading on down to Twickenham for the match.

In summary, you can’t take much into the stadium with you on match day. And if you’re not staying anywhere nearby, then it’s worth considering using one of the providers that I’ve listed above. I’d also encourage you to have a read of this article I wrote if you want to find out a bit more about what you can & can’t take with you into Twickenham.
