The process of choosing and buying tickets for the rugby at Twickenham can be quite overwhelming. The stadium has a capacity of 82,000, so there are a lot of seats to choose from. And you’ll soon realise that there are different categories of ticket. So what, exactly are these?
Tickets for Twickenham are grouped into 5 categories. The category is dictated by the seats’ location. The different categories are Premium, Category 1, Category 2, Category 3 and Category 4. The ticket price varies for each category; Premium being the most expensive and Category 4 the cheapest.
The price of each category will also vary depending on the match being played. So for example Premium tickets to an England vs Barbarians match, will be markedly cheaper than Premium tickets to an England vs South Africa match. In simple terms, the better the opposition is in the world rankings, or the bigger the spectacle, the higher the ticket price.
On that note, it’s also worth mentioning that tickets are not readily available for every match at Twickenham. Using the example above, tickets for an England vs Barbarians match will be on general sale. However, tickets to England vs South Africa will be much harder to get hold of.
